A few projects I’m proud to talk about in detail.
I design what the
project actually needs.
I started in Iran making PowerPoint slides look good for fun. Moved to the Netherlands to study ICT & Media Design at Fontys. Ended up doing three internships — ASML, Edorado, Webs — and running my own freelance practice on the side.
At ASML I designed for machine operators wearing thick gloves — every pixel had to be functional. For a matcha café in Maastricht I built a serene Japandi e-commerce experience. For a hospital ward I’m currently designing contactless clinical monitoring. Same core toolkit, different register every time.
That range is what I’m most proud of. And because I can also build what I design in React and CSS, nothing gets lost in translation.
Why before what
I ran 15+ interviews at ASML before touching Figma. The original brief was "make the UI consistent." The real problem was broken information architecture. Diagnosing before designing saved months.
I read the room
At ASML the design needed to be functional — machine operators, factory floors, thick gloves. For a matcha café it needed to feel like a physical space. Same toolkit, different register every time.
Context first, always
Designing an interface for an electric boat at 40 knots in direct sunlight is not the same as designing a SaaS dashboard. The physical environment is always part of the brief.
